Mecklenburg County Office of Economic Development officials announced today that H-T-L perma USA (perma USA), the expert in lubrication solutions and market leader in the field of single-point lubrication, is expanding its corporate footprint in Mecklenburg County. Established in Mecklenburg County for nearly three decades, perma USA will move to a new campus in Charlotte's southwest corridor, which will house a headquarters, production and warehouse facility. The new facility is perma's biggest expansion and investment outside of its native Germany and is an integral part of perma USA's growth strategy in the Americas.

perma USA is the innovative leader of single-point automatic lubrication systems and supplies more single-point lubrication systems than any other manufacturer worldwide. In order to hold this position, perma USA invests extensively in research and development. Their success is based on innovation and ingenuity in the automatic lubrication systems sector. perma USA is committed to their customers and involves them in all new product developments from start to finish. This close supplier–customer partnership enables perma USA to consistently improve the quality of the products and services. The new headquarters deepens perma's commitment to the region and its customers in the US, Canada, and Latin America.

"By expanding our facilities, we can reach our customers much faster, while streamlining our internal operations. We will have even greater control over the quality and cost of our products and can pass on these benefits to our employees, customers, and the community," said Johannes Kiesel, Managing Director.

perma's proposed project is for a five-year Business Investment Grant, specifically:

"We are excited to partner with perma USA to bring new employment opportunities to the County as a continuation of our goal to building a thriving manufacturing sector to help bridge the economic mobility gaps in our community," said Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners Chairman George Dunlap.

Construction on perma USA's headquarters and production facility will begin in 2022 with the inauguration scheduled for mid-2023.

This project's expansion was supported by Mecklenburg County's Office of Economic Development Existing Industry program in conjunction with the City of Charlotte.
