Sure, you want a C8 Corvette. You might even be saving for the new, 670 horsepower Z06 that’s launching this summer. But there’s signs that you could be waiting a while, and when it does show up, you’re virtually unable to tune it. However, a 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport 1LT has recently been listed for sale, and with its Katech modifications, it’s definitely a steal if you have the money to bid for it.

Carrying VIN: 1G1YV2D75H5105938, this C7 Corvette Grand Sport is a clean title, and stickered at $65,450 when new, and has a clean title, having been driven only 29,415 miles. And its current asking price is only $65,000, even with all of its power upgrades.

This isn’t just an average 2017 Corvette Grand Sport either. Back in 2020, the car underwent an extensive build by Katech Engineering in Clinton Township, Michigan. The price of that build was $42,270, and the power output of the Corvette was increased to 829 wheel horsepower and 614 lb-ft of torque. A list of some of the notable parts added by the Katech Performance Build includes:

Those who are interested in buying this Mopar and Mustang slayer will have to sacrifice $65,000 to do so – which means you essentially get the Katech power upgrades for free, relative to the original MSRP. With the modifications done to the car, it’s well worth skipping the line for a C8 and putting your hard-earned cash into this 829-horsepower monster of a C7 Corvette.
